Jai Balaiah Ganesh, the younger brother of the late actor Balaiah, shared with the media, “You are all familiar with his work. He has been a part of numerous films, including a recent one with Ajith Kumar (Nerkonda Paarvai). His health had been a concern for some time, and he had been taking a break to recover. Tragically, he had a fall at his home, which resulted in a sudden heart attack that led to his passing.”
Junior Balaiah, known as Raghu Balaiah in real life, adopted his father’s name for his illustrious film career. His debut in acting was marked by the film “Melnaattu Marumagal” in 1975. Throughout his four-decade-long career, he contributed to several prominent movies, such as “Karagattakaran,” “Gopura Vasalile,” “Avatharam,” “Saattai,” “Winner,” “Kumki,” and “Thani Oruvan.” In his extensive career, he portrayed numerous supporting roles alongside the leading stars of Tamil cinema.
The last rites of Balaiah will be performed on Friday afternoon in Chennai.
