Reliance Jio has expanded its wireless WiFi service, AirFiber, to 115 additional cities across India. The telecom giant is offering free installation for those opting for annual plans, making high-speed 5G internet accessible without the need for physical cables. With speeds up to 1.5Gbps, surpassing JioFiber’s cable-based 1Gbps maximum speed, AirFiber is set to benefit millions of users.
Unlike JioFiber, AirFiber eliminates the necessity for optical fiber installation to homes. Installation costs, normally Rs 1000, are waived for annual plan subscribers. Monthly plans for Jio AirFiber start at Rs 599, featuring 30Mbps speed and a range of OTT benefits including JioCinema, Sony Liv, Disney+ Hotstar, ZEE5, and more.
The service is now available in various cities across states including Andhra Pradesh, Delhi NCR, Gujarat, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and West Bengal. Notable cities include Visakhapatnam, Delhi NCR, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Kolkata.
